L ow weekend has finally arrived, I have been anxiously awaiting - the visit of Israel's southernmost city, Eilat. Before the trip I was in Eilat, little is known - tourist city, hot coral, some of the words with which I was described the city. It started on Thursday evening after work. By about 4:30 in the evening we were off. The Road to Eilat through the Negev desert. On the journey I was very excited, but I had never seen a desert and felt live. First, my assumption was the desert was flat, wrong. Virtually all the way we drove through mountains and valleys. A very special place in the desert is "Mitzpe Ramon. The small desert village on the edge of a huge crater. After a stop in this place, the road led us further into the Jordan Valley. This valley is characterized by numerous date plantations. These fruits thrive here very good and plentiful. After a few kilometers of driving in this valley, you could soon recognize Eilat. Eilat is located right next to Aqaba. This is already a Jordanian town. Once in Eilat we were billeted in the mother of my host Fathers. After an Israeli dinner and a visit to the family in Eilat, many we tired to bed. The next morning a visit was at the nearby " Timna Park " on the program. The park is located in the mountains and offers breathtaking cliffs and interesting archaeological finds. After we left the park again, we drove to the sea. Here we found what was absolutely necessary - refrigeration. The car thermometer was on the way home from the park, constant 42 ° degrees Celsius (the next day it was even 45 °). However, since the humidity is very low, practically does not sweat that, despite the intense heat. Freshly bathed, we went back to our house in Eilat to us for the "Big Dinner" in the evening to freshen up. This course appeared again the whole family. The belly fully beaten, then I went along with the son and daughters of the family in the output. First we went to a cinema to show us the latest Potter to look at. Conclusion Film: Not bad. Conclusion cinema: Crazy! You feel more like home in the office than in the cinema. Between calls, gossip, Gebuhe, telephones, all this is completely normal in Israel. After the movie was over, we went downtown to Eilat's nightlife closer to take a closer look. The people here know how to celebrate! Eilat is a small Ayia Napa or Lloret de Mar. In any case, we amused us into well into the early morning hours. The next morning, after a much too short night, I was awakened by loud already back door knocking. They wanted to return to the beach. Well it has not identified a lot of me this time, I knew that we would now go to the "Coral Beach". After breakfast and a short drive, we reached the beach, which incidentally is only about 200m away from the Egyptian border. It is prohibited to climb directly on the beach into the sea because the whole shore is full of coral. We get the path led over a bridge into the sea. Equipped with swimming goggles (was no snorkeling there) we went into the water. What is there see is simply amazing. Coral, colorful fish, sea urchins, rays, etc. .. You can swim among coral round or just watch the animals. Funny, is that the animals have no fear of divers. On the contrary, they swim even approached one. After we had bathed thoroughly and snorkeling, we went back again. One last time we were invited to dinner - as usual, took the whole family participated. Unfortunately we had to go after eating it for now back to the kibbutz. Too bad, I would have liked to have stayed here for a while. It is not the last time I visited Eilat.
